Hi,
As part of my own technique to build up my Dutch vocabulary, I like to listen to news from Radio1 and also to read as much on the site as I can - looking up words I don't understand when I see them - I try to learn as many new words as possible every day.
Can someone help me with the meaning and usage of the word "schuift" in the phrase?
"Iedere avond schuift Luuk Ikink aan met de Today's Topics ...."

It means, that Luuk wil shuffle along. The word aanschuiven means also draw/pull up: draw up a chair.
